FirstService Residential in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the building’s exterior and grounds. You will perform lawn care, mowing, trimming around trees and walkways, and ensure safe, clean outdoor spaces.

The role requires routine use of handheld tools, adherence to OSHA/EPA guidelines, and strong customer service and communication skills to interact with residents and staff. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.

Description

Location: Boca Raton, FL 33432

Pay: $20 - $20.50/hr

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; 7:00am - 4:00pm (Fri & Sat OFF)

Job Overview

As a Groundskeeper, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the building/facility.

Your Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
• May be required to assist in the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
• Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Must have experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower and others.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
• Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3ft)
• Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain)
• Walk and climb stairs
• Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
• Reach with hands and arms
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
• Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
