SSC Services for Education, a Compass Group company, is hiring for Groundskeeper in Stephenville, TX. The role includes maintaining lawns and plant areas, trimming shrubs, and performing general grounds maintenance on a full-time or part-time basis.

Schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM for full-time; other shifts available for part-time. Requires one year of groundskeeping experience and a valid Non-CDL Class C license.

Qualifications

• One year of groundskeeping experience is required.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and maintains grounds and plants, including growing schedules and propagation.
• Trims, prunes, and removes shrubs, bushes, and trees.
• Performs general janitorial and landscaping duties including property inspections and grounds maintenance.
• Mows lawns weekly and cleans landscaping tools after use.
• Weeds flowerbeds and maintains neat appearance of bushes.
• Shovels walkways and applies salt or sand to icy surfaces.
• Provides excellent customer service and works as part of the team.

• Location: TAMU Tarleton Gr - 503 North Neblett Avenue, Stephenville, TX 76401. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.


• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Monday through friday, full time from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and part time from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)


• Requirement: One year of groundskeeping experience is required.


• Pay Range: $15.00per hour to$18.00per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Plans and administers a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and continued propagation through plants and cuttings. Responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the care of grasses and plants. Trims, prunes and removes scrubs, bushes and trees. Performs general janitorial duties including property inspections, landscaping and grounds maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.


• Inspects common areas and reports deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor.


• Inspects exterior of the property and grounds; reports deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor.


• Mows lawns weekly during the proper season. Cleans landscaping tools and equipment after each use.


• Trims bushes to maintain neat appearance and desired shape.


• Weeds flowerbeds weekly or more often if needed.


• Shovels exterior walkways during wintery weather; salts or sands icy walkways as needed.


• Contributes to the team; facilitates good customer interactions; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others with whom there is contact.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.
