Job description

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time GROUNDSKEEPER positions.

Location: Charleston County School District - 7297 Peppermill Parkway, North Charleston, SC 29418. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Prior experience operating small engine equipment and zero-turn mowers required. Willing to train!

Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $18.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Plans and administers a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and propagation through plants and cuttings. Responsible for caring for grasses and plants, trimming, pruning, and removing scrubs, bushes, and trees. Performs general janitorial duties including property inspections, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and grounds; reports deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains lawns and landscaping tools; trims bushes and weeds flowerbeds regularly.
• Shovels walkways during winter and salts or sands icy areas.
• Contributes to team efforts, exhibits professionalism, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license required.
