Job description

Job Title: Groundskeeper

We are hiring immediately for full-time Groundskeeper positions at Johnson C. Smith University, located at 100 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary. More details provided upon interview.

Requirements: Prior groundskeeping experience is required.

Pay Range: $13.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Plans and administers grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and propagation. Performs tasks related to grass and plant care, trims and prunes bushes and trees, and performs general grounds maintenance and inspections.

Essential Duties

1. Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
2. Inspects grounds and reports deficiencies.
3. Maintains lawns, trims bushes, weeds flowerbeds, and performs winter snow removal and salting.
4. Contributes to team and maintains professionalism.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
