Job summary

FINE Airport Parking is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior spaces year-round, ensuring safety and a welcoming, well-kept facility from the moment guests arrive.

The role involves mowing, pruning, irrigation upkeep, seasonal snow/ice removal, and operating landscaping tools. It requires reliability, punctuality, and adherence to SOPs while supporting guest traffic safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping/landscaping or related exterior maintenance.
• Safe operation and basic care of landscaping equipment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and complete logs/checklists accurately.
• Clear verbal communication; reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscaping and grounds care: mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, and debris removal per SOP.
• Maintain and operate irrigation and basic exterior fixtures; identify and report leaks or malfunctions.
• Seasonal work including snow/ice removal and de-icing; on-call during winter as needed.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, spreaders); pre-use checks and basic service.
• Set and retrieve cones/signage to manage active work zones and guest traffic areas; maintain safe walkways.
• Inspect exterior areas; report hazards, damage, or supply/equipment needs.
• Complete daily logs and checklists per SOP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Essential Functions

• Perform landscaping and grounds care: mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, and debris removal per SOP.
• Maintain and operate irrigation and basic exterior fixtures; identify and report leaks or malfunctions.
• Conduct seasonal work including snow/ice removal and application of de-icing materials per SOP. *This position may require being on-call during the winter to respond to snow and ice events outside of regular work hours.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, spreaders); complete pre-use checks and basic service.
• Set and retrieve cones/signage to manage active work zones and guest traffic areas; maintain safe walkways.
• Inspect exterior areas regularly; report hazards, damage, or supply/equipment needs.
• Complete daily logs and checklists per SOP.
• *Perform other job-related duties of similar nature and level as assigned. These are not considered essential functions and will be assigned consistent with training, safety, and business need.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping/landscaping or related exterior maintenance.
• Safe operation and basic care of landscaping equipment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and complete logs/checklists accurately.
• Clear verbal communication; reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Irrigation basics, pruning/plant care knowledge.
• Seasonal snow/ice removal experience.

Requirements

Safety-Sensitive Requirements (applies to all facility roles)

• Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company/insurer insurability criteria, annual MVR review.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. solo and negotiate three steps while carrying.
• Comply with FINE’s substance-free policy.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• *Any driving requires 2 consecutive years licensed. Shuttle duty (if assigned) requires age 23+ per insurer.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Prolonged outdoor work; extended standing and walking on varied terrain.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and overhead reaching; routine ladder/step-stool use for pruning/fixtures.
• Repetitive use of hand and power landscaping tools (mowers, trimmers, blowers); vibration exposure per SOP.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of bags, soil, plants, ice melt, and equipment up to 50 lbs.; pushing/pulling mowers, spreaders, and carts.
• Seasonal conditions: heat/cold extremes, precipitation, wind, pollen/dust; snow/ice removal with shovels, blowers, and plows.
• Operation of powered equipment and vehicles; hand/foot controls; sustained visual attention near moving traffic in lots/drives.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
