Full-Time Groundskeeper who will be responsible for maintaining, caring for, and enhancing the grounds of the College’s main campus in Cottleville, Missouri, ensuring a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for students, employees, and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

• Care for turf, including mowing, fertilizing, weed killing, aerating, seeding, and pest control.
• Maintain ornamentals and trees, including fertilizing, planting, watering, pest control, pruning, mulching, and weed control.
• Ensure proper appearance of campus grounds, including picking up trash, emptying parking lot trash containers, emptying trash containers at buildings, and cleaning parking lots and plaza areas.
• Perform routine service maintenance on grounds vehicles and equipment; communicate problems with equipment to supervisor.
• Perform snow removal, including shoveling, plowing and brushing sidewalks and plaza areas, parking areas and access roads, and application of snow removal chemicals.
• Care for irrigation system, making necessary minor repairs and adjustments, communicate issues to supervisor.
• Care for the fields at the Dardenne Creek campus.
• Perform holiday light installation and removal.
• Complete work orders in a timely fashion.
• Assist with maintenance needs as needed.
• Assist housekeeping department with maintaining appearance of the campus.
• Assist with heavy lifting, loading, unloading, and moving heavy products/deliveries.
• Operate campus vehicles as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months experience and/or education in grounds.
• Valid Class A, B, C, or E driver’s license required.
