Support FBISD Schools is seeking a Groundskeeper for the 2026-2027 school year to maintain athletic fields and school grounds. The role involves operating mowers, edgers, trimmers, and related tools, performing routine manual tasks, and assisting in basic repairs and setups around facilities.
Position requires ability to work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow written and oral instructions. The role is located in the Facilities Department's Support & Grounds Division.
Perform semi-skilled and manual tasks in manicuring and maintaining athletic fields and grounds around school facilities so that athletic fields and grounds are safe, neat and attractive for students, faculty and patrons; operate mowers, power and hand tools; assist in performing routine, manual tasks inside and outside buildings. Work is assigned and carried out according to oral and written instructions, and is reviewed by a supervisor through observation and inspection of completed work. Positions in this entry level classification are located in the Support & Grounds Division of the Facilities Department.

Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
