Job summary

Crowne Plaza Hotel - Louisville Airport is seeking a dependable groundskeeper to maintain the hotel's exterior and surrounding areas. You will ensure a neat, welcoming property and operate a range of groundskeeping equipment in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include lawn care, courtyard upkeep, and proactive safety and guest service. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a cooperative, guest-focused attitude to help sustain a high standard of hospitality.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of groundskeeping experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of landscaping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep the hotel's grounds including parking lot and courtyard.
• Cut grass and water flowers.
• Inspect grounds and equipment daily.
• Keep grounds clean; sweep curbs, clean parking lot and courtyard.
• Operate groundskeeping tools such as mowers and leaf blowers.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests with questions or requests.

Job description

Responsibilities include maintaining the physical grounds of the hotel, including the parking lot and courtyard. The groundsperson must be attentive to detail to ensure a high-quality appearance of the entire property. The groundsperson must be dexterous, with a fast pace and an ability to use different equipment when necessary.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Safety and Environmental Performance

• Ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to by personal example
• Support full hotel compliance with safety rules to further our goal of zero (0) accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses
• Adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to ensure guest satisfaction and consistent service is delivered to our patrons
• Immediately report all injuries to Loss Prevention, as well as the manager on duty

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining and upkeep of the physical grounds of the hotel including parking lot and courtyard.
• Responsible for cutting grass and watering flowers.
• Perform daily inspection of physical grounds and equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean grounds including; sweeping curbs, cleaning parking lot and courtyard.
• Must be proficient with a variety of grounds keeping tools and equipment, such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc.
• Responds in a courteous manner to all guest questions, requests, and complaints.

Qualifications

• Zero to two years of experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of landscaping preferred.
