Job summary

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, is seeking a Groundskeeper at our Long Prairie, MN plant. Responsibilities include lawn care, equipment handling, and general housekeeping in warehouses. Training in Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and food defense will be provided.

Base hourly rate is $19.35–$21.85 per hour, with flexible 15–40 hour weekly schedules and opportunities for ongoing learning and growth within the company.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• As Groundskeeper, perform general lawn care including mowing grass, spraying weeds, and picking up trash.
• Move and store equipment in warehouses and other areas on the property.
• General housekeeping: clean warehouses and storage areas, sweep, and organize items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.

Overview

Long Prairie Packing, an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for a Groundskeeper at our Long Prairie, MN plant.

As Groundskeeper, you will:

• Perform general lawn care that includes mowing grass, spraying weeds, picking up trash.
• Move and store equipment in warehouses and other areas on the property.
• General housekeeping includes cleanup of warehouses and other storage areas, sweeping, organizing warehouse items.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
• NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Start times and hours vary- flexible schedules available 15-40 hours weekly.
• Must be able to successfully complete training:
  • Safety.
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Food defense
