Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain lawns, walkways, parking areas, trees and irrigation systems at a client site in Atlanta. You will operate tractors, mowers, and other landscape equipment to preserve safe, clean exteriors and deliver reliable service.

The role requires a minimum of three years of groundskeeping experience, knowledge of turf care and general plant maintenance, and the ability to work independently or with a team in varying weather conditions.

Job TitleGroundskeeperJob Description SummaryC&W Services is seeking a dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to support a client site by maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of all outdoor grounds and landscaped areas. This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of lawns, walkways, parking areas, trees, shrubs, irrigation systems, and other exterior property features. The ideal candidate will have experience operating landscaping equipment, performing routine grounds maintenance, and working safely in a fast-paced facility environment while delivering exceptional service to our client.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain all lawns, landscaped areas, fields, pathways, roads, sidewalks, and parking lots throughout the assigned client property.Mow grass and maintain turf using hand-operated or powered mowing equipment.Trim, edge, and weed around sidewalks, curbs, flower beds, fences, walls, and other landscaped areas.Prune trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth and maintain an attractive appearance.Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other landscape treatments in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.Plant and maintain grass, flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscape materials.Water lawns, plants, and landscaped areas using hoses, irrigation systems, sprinklers, and other watering equipment.Rake, collect, and properly dispose of leaves, debris, and landscape waste.Pick up litter and maintain a clean, safe, and professional exterior environment.Operate grounds maintenance equipment and vehicles, including tractors, mowers, spreaders, rollers, golf carts, and other landscape machinery.Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to fences, gates, walkways, retaining walls, and other exterior structures.Clean and maintain drainage systems, ditches, culverts, and stormwater pathways to ensure proper water flow.Inspect tools and equipment regularly and perform basic maintenance such as sharpening blades and cutting tools.Support snow removal, weather-related cleanup efforts, and other seasonal grounds maintenance activities as required.Follow all C&W Services and client-specific environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.Accurately prioritize work assignments and respond to client needs in a professional and timely manner.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support operational and client objectives.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program, vocational training, or trade school related to landscaping, horticulture, grounds maintenance, or a related field is preferred.ExperienceMinimum of three (3) years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor facility maintenance.Experience maintaining commercial, industrial, campus, manufacturing, distribution, or similar large-scale facilities preferred.Working knowledge of landscaping practices, irrigation systems, turf care, plant maintenance, and grounds maintenance equipment.Experience operating tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, golf carts, and other groundskeeping equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to safely operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment.Understanding of proper use and handling of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and related materials.Ability to identify maintenance priorities and complete work with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and visually appealing environment.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Willingness to participate in ongoing technical and safety training to remain current with industry standards, equipment, and technologies.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds routinely.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in all seasons.Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
