Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Grounds Technician to maintain lawns, flower beds and landscaping areas, with daily inspections and seasonal snow removal. The role includes upkeep of grounds equipment and irrigation systems, and requires the ability to lift and operate heavy machinery outdoors in various weather conditions.

So, what will you be doing as a Grounds Technician?

• Perform the daily grounds work schedule of maintaining the lawns, flower beds and landscaping duties
• Conduct daily inspections of grounds and assigned areas
• Winter-time snow removal
• Perform corrective and preventative care for grounds equipment, irrigation system and other assigned tasks

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School/GED or equivalent vocational training
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Previous hands-on grounds experience in operating various mowers, tractors, and equipment
• Good communication and people skills
• Must be able to work overtime or on-call as needed
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more and be on your feet standing, carrying, lifting and or walking several hours outdoors each workday
