Job summary

Auraria Campus is seeking a Grounds & Nursery I to maintain our downtown Denver campus grounds, including mowing, trimming, irrigation, and snow removal. The role supports a clean, safe environment for 38,000 students and 5,000 faculty and staff.

The position requires at least 1 year of related experience and a valid Colorado driver license. Applicants should be prepared for physical duties and to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a related occupation clearly demonstrated in the application materials.
• Valid unencumbered Colorado driver license at time of application.
• Provide full responses to all required supplemental questions as part of the screening process.

Responsibilities

• General cleanup of campus grounds including sweeping, raking, trash removal, and tidying campus areas.
• Fertilizing, aerating, seeding, mowing, trimming, mulching, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Inspecting and maintaining irrigation systems, adjusting sprinklers, and reporting needs to the Supervisor.
• Operate, maintain, and repair grounds equipment and vehicles as needed.
• Perform snow removal and adhere to safety procedures while supporting daily campus safety.
