Giants Ridge is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Lead to coordinate year-round grounds tasks and lead a team of technicians. You will supervise mowing, pruning, irrigation, and seasonal snow removal, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll operate and maintain landscape and snow tools, coordinate with the Director of Facilities, and help ensure guest-ready property throughout the year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years landscaping experience.
• Proficiency operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment including mowers, loaders, plow trucks, snow blowers, shovels, salt spreaders and irrigation systems.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, guide, and provide feedback to grounds staff for safety and growth.
• Plan landscaping tasks seasonally with the Director to meet goals.

This role actively participates in landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, irrigation system maintenance, and safety equipment inspections while providing guidance to technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and to quality standards.Job Description:**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*** Assists in training, guiding, and providing feedback to grounds maintenance and snow removal technicians to support their growth and ensure adherence to safety protocols.* Helps plan and coordinate landscaping and groundskeeping tasks seasonally, collaborating with the Director to meet maintenance goals effectively.* Performs mowing, string trimming, planting, pruning, and other general landscape maintenance tasks, delegating tasks as needed.* Participates in snow removal operations during the winter months, including plowing, shoveling, sanding, and salting walkways and parking lots.* Operates and maintains various landscaping and snow removal equipment, endure proper and safe use.* Assists with inventory management of maintenance supplies, tools, and safety equipment.* Communicates with the Director regarding maintenance needs, project updates, and resource requirements.* Ensures proper watering of grounds to maintain healthy landscaping, and assists with irrigation system operation and maintenance.* Helps maintain cleanliness of the property following events, including trash collection and emptying garbage and recycling bins.* Conducts regular inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the Director.* Documents snow removal activities accurately in the snow removal log.* Performs other duties as assigned by management. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE*** High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required.* Minimum of two (2) years of landscaping experience.* Proficiency in operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, skid loaders, plow trucks, snow blowers, shovels, salt spreaders and irrigation systems.* Understanding of mowing, string trimming, pruning, planting, and general landscape maintenance techniques.* Ability to travel between locations of the resort.
