Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Crew Lead to oversee a maintenance crew as they care for our properties on an on-site basis. You will guide routine upkeep, mowing, edging, weed control, debris cleanup and seasonal tasks, including snow and salt maintenance.

Strong preference for horticulture/landscaping background and turf/shrub ID knowledge. You will be expected to complete Davey career development books and required safety courses after hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors is essential.
• Background in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
• Turf, weed, tree and shrub ID knowledge preferred.
• Ability to complete Davey landscape development books upon hire and to complete first aid, CPR and defensive driving courses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a maintenance crew performing lawn mowing, edging, weed control, debris cleanup and leaf removal.
• Year-round position includes snow removal and salt maintenance.
