Job summary

University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks a Grounds Leader to perform general landscape and grounds maintenance under a supervisor. The Grounds Lead will help guide team members, promote teamwork, and may be called back for grounds-related emergencies. Equipment must be operated safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years in grounds/landscaping, and a valid driver’s license. Pesticide license is preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is required.
3 years experience in grounds/landscaping or similar work.
Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

Under general direction, perform general landscape and grounds maintenance tasks.
Assist supervisor in absence to guide team and promote teamwork.
Subject to call back for grounds-related emergencies.
Operate grounds maintenance and landscape tools safely.

Position Summary

Under general direction from the Supervisor the Grounds Lead will perform general landscape and grounds maintenance functions, and other duties as assigned. The Grounds Lead will assist the supervisor in their absence to help guide fellow team members, promoting teamwork and effective communication. The Grounds lead will be subject for call back for any grounds-related emergency, operate various grounds maintenance and landscape tools, and equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
