Job summary

Monster Tree Service of North Pittsburgh is seeking a Grounds Crew member to assist with tree care operations at the job site. You will load, unload, and prepare equipment, drive and operate trucks and tools, and help keep yards and gear safe and orderly.

The role emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and the ability to work outside in all weather. Competitive wages are offered, along with benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with trimming, liming, chipper, and saw operation is preferred.
• A clean valid Driver’s License is required.
• Must be able to carry 50 lbs. at a minimum and work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Uses hand lines to lower limbs and equipment.
• Unloads, lays out, prepares, and stows materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Works from the ground using handsaws and polesaws. Drives trucks, loaders, and operates other equipment such as log movers, chippers, stump grinders, etc.
• Serves trucks and equipment, keeps them neat and orderly, and reports needed repairs to the crew leader.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent communication with workers aloft.
• Participates in weekly safety meetings and daily job briefings.
• Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies, including the use of PPE at all times, and helps enforce job safety practices.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Performs related work as assigned.
• Operates and maintains chippers, chainsaws, and all other equipment in a safe manner.
