Essential Duties
Take direction from Grounds Crew Lead and accurately complete all assigned work in a timely manner.
Promote good relations and display a positive image with customers, the public, and peers.
Complete and submit all paperwork as required.
Maintain the proper parts inventory on the district vehicle to meet the majority of assigned maintenance work requests.
Take proper care of, and maintain, district vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position, as well as to ensure maximum usage.
Plan, stage, and complete the cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and installation of all types of equipment assigned to the trade.
Initiate and complete assigned projects in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
Immediately report any issues that may have an impact on school or employee safety.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Must possess the qualifications required to hold an MI or MII classification; 0-5 years of applicable and verifiable work experience in grounds maintenance.
High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), preferred for MI, and required for MII classifications.
Must hold a valid State of Georgia driver’s license with no more than eight (8) points against the license over the last seven years.

Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and sitting.
Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds, and negotiating stairs and ladders.
