Job summary

Asplundh Careers is seeking a Groundperson for our Columbus, Ohio team. The role involves feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper, and monitoring work areas to keep others safe from trip hazards and moving equipment.

You will also assist with equipment maintenance, operate a chainsaw for brush cutting, and help ensure vehicles and tools are kept clean and serviceable in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry-level position, no experience required.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check may be required.
• Driver's License preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
• Services vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
