Job summary

Kendallco is seeking Groundperson to clear brush and trees, load and unload trucks, and perform site clean-up on each job—reliably and safely.

This role includes outdoor work in varying weather, operating and maintaining tools, and willingness to travel for storm restoration; a $1,000 signing bonus applies under certain conditions; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Must have and maintain a Driver’s License if hired for a driving position.
• Physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use chain saw, and pruners in uneven terrain.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Working from the ground and clearing undergrowth from right-of-way by using a variety of tools.
• Loading and unloading trucks with logs, brush and debris; feeding brush into chipper.
• Performing general clean-up of job sites following completion of work.
• Carrying, preparing, and storing materials, tools and equipment at work site.
• Flagging traffic to protect employees and the public from potential harm or injury.

The Groundperson positions clears brush and trees as directed and performs clean-up on each job site.
