Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a groundperson in Augusta, ME to assist with brush removal and debris feeding into a woodchipper. The role includes site scanning for hazards and keeping coworkers out of travel paths while maintaining equipment and materials.

Responsibilities include operating a chainsaw for brush, logs, and large tree stumps, feeding brush into the chipper, and performing basic vehicle/equipment maintenance. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry-level position, no experience required.
• Previous experience a plus.
• Upon offer, may be required to pass pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
• Driver's License Preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
• Services vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
