Job SummaryAs a Retail Yard Trimmer at Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our nursery inventory. Your primary responsibility will involve trimming and shaping trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations. This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of pruning techniques, and a passion for horticulture.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform regular trimming and shaping of trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain their health, appearance, and desired form. Utilize hand tools such as pruning shears, loppers, and hedge trimmers to remove dead or overgrown branches, shape foliage, and promote healthy growth.Inspect trees and plants for signs of damage, disease, or pests during trimming activities. Identify and remove any diseased or infested branches to prevent the spread of pathogens and ensure the overall health of the plant material.Collaborate with other nursery staff members to coordinate trimming schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient workflow in the retail yard. Communicate any issues or concerns related to tree and plant health to the appropriate personnel for further action.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing trimming activities.
