Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of the national power grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform essential field tasks, with safety as the top priority.

The role requires driving to job sites, traveling long distances on short notice, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outside in all weather conditions. Availability for outages and on-call rotations is required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
  • Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing to work outside normal hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction, maintenance and repair of de-energized powerlines with safety first.
  • Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
  • Perform rigorous physical labor and lift heavy tools and equipment.
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good work order.
  • Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be available for outages/on-call rotation.
  • Inspect PPE and rubber goods and follow safety protocols.
