Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot) is a full-service electrical contractor seeking a Groundman for Lynchburg, VA, on the 3rd shift. You will perform hand digging, handle and install products in ditches, and learn equipment operation while supporting crew leadership.

Requirements include using hand tools, willingness to travel, and holding or obtaining a Class A CDL. We offer disability, life insurance, 401K with match, ESOP, and extensive training programs.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of using hand tools such as shovels and rakes.
• Willing to travel when necessary.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of ground work including digging by hand to various depths and in areas with limited equipment access.
• Handle and install products in ditches, including direct bury wire and steel pipes.
• Retrieve tools and learn to operate equipment when permitted; train to lead a crew.
• This is a 3rd shift position covering Lynchburg, VA and surrounding areas.
