Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Plant Groundman in Sanger, TX to support asphalt plant operations and crew. Responsibilities include equipment operation, routine maintenance, and assisting the Foreman to ensure safe and efficient work.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of construction experience, be able to lift 50 pounds, and work day/night shifts including weekends. OSHA-style safety mindset and willingness to travel between sites are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction experience.
• Must pass safety requirements and follow procedures.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment.
• Operate skid steers, man lifts and water trucks.
• Unload oil trucks and assist Foreman.
• Work days or nights and weekends as required.
• Follow safety procedures and work at heights up to 70 ft.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and work at multiple locations.

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking Plant Groundman for (Sanger, TX), Asphalt Plants. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.

The Plant Groundman will help support the project and crew with various tasks at the HMAC facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on Plant equipment
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, man lifts and water trucks
• Unload oil trucks
• Assist Foreman
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Be able to climb ladders and stairs
• Communicate effectively with fellow workers
• Work days or nights and weekends as required
• Be able to work at multiple locations
• Follow all procedures and safety requirements of the company
• Be able to work in hot and cold weather
• Work at heights up to 70’
• Use various hand tools
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience
• Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.
