Rocket Lab is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer II – Fluids to design, build, and validate critical fluid systems for the Neutron launch vehicle. You will work hands-on with cryogenics, hydraulics, fuels, and high-pressure gases, performing sizing calculations and producing schematics.

You will model in NX/SolidWorks, size systems, interact with suppliers, and help certify launch pad fluid systems in a fast-paced aerospace environment. ITAR and US office requirements apply.

Formación

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in aerospace or industrial design, testing, and/or operations.
• Knowledge of fluid systems, sizing calculations, and P&IDs.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks).

Responsabilidades

• Design of fluid systems including cryogenics, hydraulics, fuels and high pressure gases.
• 2D and 3D modelling using CAD NX.
• System sizing and analysis by hand calculations and numerical methods.
• Generate and maintain schematics of fluid/process systems (P&IDs, diagrams).
• Component selection and maintenance of BOMs.
• Interact with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support certification of launch pad fluid systems.
