Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Ground Systems Service Operations Lead under the SkillBridge program. You will roll out systems in metro areas, manage full site construction from design handover to commissioning, and collaborate with engineering and operations to rapidly deploy sites.

This internship role targets active-duty US service members eligible for SkillBridge, with heavy travel across the Sunbelt (Texas, AZ) and potential international assignments. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction superintendent roles across commercial/industrial sites.
• Experience with vertical infrastructure (towers, silos, telecom) preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple job sites concurrently.
• Proficient with Bluebeam for remote markup sharing.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction for drone launch tower projects.
• Coordinate with PM, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities.
• Assist in site design handover, constructability, permitting, and commissioning.
• Schedule and supervise daily construction tasks.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Ensure safety, building codes, and zoning compliance.
• Maintain quality control across phases and Zipline hardware.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain documentation.
• Manage procurement and delivery with warehouse team.
• Report to senior leadership with updates and issues.
• Travel 75%+; focus Texas, AZ; possible international travel.
