Job summary

jetCenters of Colorado is seeking a full-time Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic at our Colorado Springs location to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment. You will use your own hand tools (specialty tools provided by Colorado Jet Center) and help keep hangar areas organized while ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Provide own hand tools (specialty tools provided by Colorado Jet Center)
• Take care of periodic maintenance tasks for equipment and vehicles
• Run errands for the shop and facility, utilizing company transportation
• Keep hangar(s) maintained (no debris, organized, etc.)
• Properly complete forms and paperwork, documenting/confirming maintenance work
• Must wear PPE as applicable
• Must understand established hand signals and respond when oral communication is difficult
• Other duties as assigned

We are currently seeking a full-time Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic at our Colorado Springs Location. The position responsibilities include: but are not limited to:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Provide own hand tools (Specialty tools are provided by Colorado Jet Center)
• Take care of periodic maintenance tasks for equipment and vehicles
• Run errands for the shop and facility, utilizing company transportation
• Keep hangar(s) maintained (no debris, organized, etc.)
• Properly complete forms and paperwork, documenting/confirming maintenance work
• Must wear/use personal protective equipment (PPE), as applicable
• Must be able to understand established hand signals and respond appropriately when environmental noise or distance has rendered oral communication impossible
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:

• Age 21+
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate effectively both in written and and oral form
• Must have strong mechanical skills
• Must be a team player

• Must have problem solving / conflict resolution skills, but know when to elevate
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:

• Prior Aviation/FBO experience
• 1-2 years of prior relevant experience

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes a base salary and competitive benefits package.

Salary Range

$23-30 per hour, depending on experience
