Job summary

Horizon Air is seeking a Ground Service Agent to support ramp operations at Santa Rosa (SRA). The role involves loading/unloading luggage, assisting flight crews, performing aircraft servicing, and operating ramp equipment. A flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is required.

The starting pay is USD 19.92/hour with a 2.25/hour split-shift differential. Eligibility for security clearances and SIDA badge is required. This is a part-time position with 15–30 hours weekly.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Load and offload luggage and cargo, transporting to various airport locations.
  • Distribute all paperwork to flight crews including fuel slips, load plans, cargo manifests and flight releases.
  • Marshals and pushes back aircraft.
  • Prepares weight and balance forms and inputs data into a system.
  • Service aircraft including lavatory, potable water, aircraft grooming, deicing and security searches.
  • Operates and/or drives equipment such as belt-loaders, tugs, and deice trucks.
  • Execute aircraft tow operations if required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Summary

The Ground Service Agent works in a fast-paced environment performing activities related to working on the airport ramp and keeping flights running smoothly and safely.

Key Duties
  • Load and offload luggage and cargo, transporting to various airport locations.
  • Distribute all paperwork to flight crews including fuel slips, load plans, cargo manifests and flight releases.
  • Marshals and pushes back aircraft.
  • Prepares weight and balance forms and ensures load integrity by inputting accurate commodity codes and weights into a data entry system.
  • Service aircraft as necessary to include lavatory, potable water, aircraft grooming, deicing and security searches.
  • Operates and/or drives multiple types of equipment, such as belt-loaders, tugs, air-start units, bag carts, lavatory carts and deice trucks.
  • Execute aircraft tow operations if required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.

Starting Rate

USD $19.92/Hr. Pay Details:

  • Starting wage: $19.92 per hour (non-negotiable)
  • Schedule: 15 to 30 hours per week
  • Availability: Weekend and holiday availability is required
  • Split-shift differential: When working a split shift, employees receive a $2.25 per hour differential. A split shift includes working a morning (AM) shift, taking an unpaid break, and returning for an evening (PM) shift.
  • Effective split-shift hourly rate: $22.17 per hour (base wage + differential)

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements
