Job summary

AscendArc is seeking a Mission Operations & Ground Segment Manager to lead the development of a new ground segment for a revolutionary satellite communications system. You will own the end-to-end ground architecture, build the control center, and assemble the team to fly and hand over spacecraft to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in aerospace, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Demonstrated ownership of ground segment architecture and operation.
• Experience procuring and managing ground software suppliers through development and sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Own the ground segment architecture end to end: SCC, FDS, mission planning, mission database, data archive, networks and security.
• Stand up the Mission Control Center from scratch including facility, consoles, servers and readiness for flight.
• Own delivery of the SCC and FDS to customers as a contract deliverable and train the customer’s ops team.
