Job summary

Alliance Ground International in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Ramp Agent to support on-time flight operations in a fast-paced aviation environment. You will guide airplanes to gates, load/unload baggage, and perform cabin cleanings between flights while upholding strict safety standards.

Applicants must be able to lift up to 70 pounds, hold a valid driver's license, and pass required drug and security clearances. Night/weekend shifts are common, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
• Transport, load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail

• Operate heavy equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories

Job responsibilities:

• Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate

Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age and possess a High school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 10-year extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check
• If you are applying at the following locations: San Francisco (SFO), proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine recognized by the CDC is required for employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis
• Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
• Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
• Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises
