Job summary

Loft Orbital is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core team in Ground Platform. You’ll build backend services, automation, AI tooling, and platform infra focused on observability and reliability. Opportunity to participate in SatDevOps rotations for anomaly investigation and incident response.

Responsibilities include implementing new technologies, developing AI tooling, and ensuring scalable, reliable platform components, while collaborating with engineers and satellite operators across Loft.

Qualifications

• Solid backend software development experience.
• Hands-on deployment and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to define and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement new technologies and software patterns across Loft's stack.
• Lead the creation and evolution of Loft's AI tooling for development and anomaly investigation.
• Develop central ground platform functionalities like workflow automation and inter-service communication.
• Ensure reliability and performance of Loft's ground platform infrastructure, including message queues, CI/CD, and observability.
• Participate in SatDevOps rotations and assist with real-time incident response when needed.
• Collaborate with software engineers and satellite operators to deliver maintainable, performant software solutions.
