Job summary

Vanderbilt Health's LifeFlight Ground EMS seeks an independently operating paramedic to activate patient care protocols within the defined Vanderbilt scope of practice. You will triage in the field and handle interfacility transfers as part of a multi-location EMS network.

You will provide direct patient care, transport patients via multiple modes, and communicate clearly during handoffs to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certification for EMT-Paramedic licensure required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience requested.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate with healthcare team to provide direct patient care.
• Transport patients and provide ALS and critical care management.
• Respond to emergency requests within Vanderbilt or contracted events.
• Communicate handover effectively to the health care team.
• Follow up with problem solving to implement solutions.
