Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a bartender to deliver friendly, attentive service at our Grotto location. You will craft quality beverages, engage guests, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires bartending experience in a fine-dining, high-volume setting, plus state alcohol certification and a bartender’s license. Pay rate is $7–$8/hr + tips, with benefits for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• State or Local Law may require an alcohol awareness/safety class certification.
• Bartender’s license to work in this position is required.
• Must have bartending experience in a fine dining, high-volume setting.
• Prior restaurant/bartender/lounge experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, responsive and consistent service to create a beyond-expectation beverage experience.
• Greet guests, suggest items, provide menu/beverage tours, and recommend items.
• Take orders, input into POS, and relay to kitchen and bar.
• Maintain bar area, keep it clean and organized; ensure safety and compliance.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Bartender fo r Grotto .In this role, you wil lprovide friendly, responsive and consistent service to create a beyond expectation food and beverage experience for all guests.

As part of our team, you’ll embody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll create a welcoming atmosphere, crafting quality beverages, and engaging guests with friendly, attentive service.

Pay Rate - $7 - $8/Hr. + Tips

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
• Greet guests immediately, inform them of specials, provide menu and beverage tours, and recommend items/drinks you genuinely feel guests will enjoy and advise on menu changes.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders into the point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
• Maintain bar area; including keeping the bar top/counters and well area neat and organized, ashtrays emptied and wiped out, dirty cocktail glasses removed, washed and sterilized; any napkins, coasters, straws or discarded garnishes cleaned up.
• Be aware of guests’ rate of consumption of alcohol and its effect and take immediate corrective action to help the guest as well as to protect the interest of Kalahari Resorts and its associates.

What We’re Looking For

• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification.
• You must have a bartender’s license to work in this position.
• Must have bartending experience in a fine dining full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• Prior restaurant/bartender/lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue is a must and/or background in the service industry is a plus.
