Qualifications

• Must qualify as a High Complexity Testing personnel under CLIA regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• 1 year experience in grossing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical specimens for Histological processing according to policies and procedures.
• Ensure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling.
• Perform gross description and dissection of specimens received.
• Troubleshoot processing, embedding, cutting, and staining when needed.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and quality control in a fast-paced lab.
