Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Grooming Salon Leader to oversee daily operations, coach a diverse grooming team, and ensure exceptional customer service while delivering expert grooming services.

You will manage schedules, performance, and safety, and drive salon growth in a fast-paced retail environment. The role requires 2+ years as a professional groomer and 1–2 years in salon leadership, with strong communication and breed-knowledge expertise.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a professional groomer
1–2 years of salon management or leadership experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication with pet parents and team
Expert knowledge of dog breeds, grooming requirements, and behaviors
Experience with breed-specific cuts, styling, and grooming standards

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations and scheduling
Recruit, train, and supervise grooming staff; provide coaching and evaluations
Create efficient grooming schedules to maximize capacity and coverage
Monitor revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity; develop improvement plans
Collaborate with store management to hit sales targets and salon objectives
Interact professionally with pet parents and offer grooming recommendations
Perform professional grooming services to client specifications and breed standards
Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness and safety per policy
