Job summary

Petco is seeking a Grooming Salon Leader to guide salon operations and a grooming team, delivering top-tier services while ensuring customer satisfaction and pet welfare.

You will lead scheduling, training, and performance, while maintaining high grooming standards and safety. This role requires strong leadership and a passion for animals, with weekend and holiday availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills with the desire to lead, train, and develop people.
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements and behaviors.
• Genuine passion for animals and a career in pet grooming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with pet parents and grooming team members.
• High attention to detail to ensure services meet high standards.
• Availability to work full time at least 35 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations and staffing, ensuring smooth workflows and scheduling.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise grooming staff; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Create efficient grooming schedules to maximise capacity and meet demand.
• Monitor revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity; develop improvement action plans.
• Collaborate with store management to drive salon growth and profitability.
• Deliver expert grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, cuts, nail and ear care.
