Job summary

Destination Pet is seeking a skilled groomer to transform dogs into show-ready looks, engaging with pet parents to discuss grooming needs and coat care. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and compassionate handling in a busy grooming environment.

You will work as part of a pet-loving team with opportunities for growth, ongoing education, and competitive compensation including a 10% commission and sign-on bonus. Full-time benefits and flexible scheduling are provided.

Qualifications

• Professional grooming experience is required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and manage large or nervous dogs safely.
• Exposure to fur, cleaning chemicals, wet pups, celebrations and unpredictable zoomies is guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Snipping, shaping, and styling pets based on owner preferences or breed standards.
• Trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing teeth, and tidying up the tail end.
• Bathing dogs (or working with bathers to prep pets for grooming).
• Chatting with pet parents about grooming needs, coat care, and what's trending in tails.
• Keeping your station neat, your tools sharp, and your vibe fresh.
• Tagging in the front desk when pups are fluffed, puffed, and ready for pickup.
