Job summary

Cahaba Valley Animal Clinic is seeking a friendly Pet Groomer to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. You will perform grooming services according to customer instructions, ensuring pets look their best and are treated with care.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of grooming experience. You should be available for at least 3 days per week and bring your own grooming tools. A qualification interview will be conducted at our location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year grooming experience preferred.
• Availability at least 3 days a week.
• Must have grooming tools on hand.
• Must pass a qualification interview at our location.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services per customer instructions, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals.
• Bathing animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Trimming, clipping, and/or shaving hair/fur, and removing matted hair.
• Providing before and after pictures of your work.
• Providing excellent customer service to our clients.
• Managing temperamental pets.
• Nail trimmings and ear cleanings.
• Occasional teeth cleanings.

Job Overview

The Pet Groomer is responsible for performing all grooming-related duties necessary to ensure that pets are neat, clean, and look their best. To be successful as a pet groomer, you should be able to comply with pet owners' instructions as well as accommodate any special requests that they may have. Ultimately, a top-notch Pet Groomer will treat all animals with the utmost love and care.
