Good Clean Dog is seeking a Groom Tech to help deliver a safe, comfortable grooming experience for dogs. You will support de-shedding, brushing, trimming, and basic prep as part of a collaborative team dedicated to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Prior professional grooming or bathing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and compassionate care to each dog.
• Perform Bath & Tidy services, including de-shed and maintenance between full grooms.
• Complete finish work: trimming feet, sanitary areas, faces, and feathering.
• Communicate observations or concerns to team members and leadership.
• Assist with check-ins by asking qualifying questions about customer expectations.
• Assist bathing, drying, brushing, and detangling to prepare dogs for grooming.
• Coach bathing team and provide feedback to ensure company standards.
• Trim nails, clean ears, and complete other basic prep services.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe facility, completing daily cleaning checklists.
• Provide exceptional service to clients and their pups.
• Assist with team projects and business improvement initiatives.

Job Overview:

As a Groom Tech you play a vital role in our business, providing excellent service and ensuring every pup has a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience. Much like the partnership between a nurse practitioner and a doctor, our Groom Techs manage some preparation, hands-on support to bathers, and many routine or lower-complexity services. This allows our Groomicians to focus their expertise on the more advanced grooming services that require their specialized skill.

Each Groom Tech's primary responsibility is completing services on short-coated and double-coated dogs. The bathing team washes and dries, so the Groom Tech can focus on de-shedding, brushing, and trimming. Excellent Finish work (such as trimming feet, sanitary areas, faces, outline trims) and attention to detail is vital to the Groom Tech’s position. Groom techs may assist in bathing, drying, nail trimming, and ear cleaning as needed. This role allows Groom Techs to grow their grooming skills as an essential part of our team-based approach to providing the best grooming experience for both pets and their parents.

Requirements

• Prior professional grooming or bathing experience required
• Compassionate and patient when handling dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being while in our care
• Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Adherence to dresscode, including wearing a uniform
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and meet the physical needs of the role
