Job summary

Digs Dog Care is seeking a dedicated Groom Tech to help deliver premium, attentive care for every canine guest. You will assist groomers, bathe, dry, and trim nails while ensuring safety and calm handling throughout the service.

As a team member, you’ll cross-train in kennel duties, monitor health and behavior, and maintain a clean grooming space. Weekend availability and a positive, customer-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic dog behaviors and body language.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including large dogs.
• Ability to follow directions closely (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to lift and carry dogs and equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Available for flexible scheduling including holidays and at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Provide grooming duties including bathing, drying, and nail trims.
• Assist groomers with handling dogs during grooming services.
• Cross-train as kennel techs and assist in other areas as needed.
• Monitor dog health and behavior; report concerns to supervisor.
• Keep grooming stations and tools clean and sanitized between dogs.
