Job summary

El Super in South Gate, CA is seeking a Utilities Clerk (ages 16-17) to support store operations, especially in the Produce Department, and assist customers on the shop floor. The role includes bagging groceries and helping customers with carry-outs as needed.

Working in a fast-paced grocery setting, you will maintain cleanliness and safety, manage carts, perform price checks, and assist with go-backs and checkout area upkeep.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and employees.
• Apply basic instructions accurately.
• Lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in store maintenance to keep the store clean and safe.
• Bag groceries for customers and carry groceries when requested.
• Maintain and retrieve store carts and support go-backs.
