Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids. You will deliver friendly, knowledgeable service, help customers find items, and keep displays neat and stocked across Fresh departments.

In this fast-paced role, you will learn store technology, follow food safety standards, and collaborate with teammates to ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers. Weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to learn and use store technology and scanners.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
• Maintain fresh, attractive displays across departments.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Operate point-of-sale system and complete tasks accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery as needed.
• Support team to keep store operations running smoothly.
