Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk in Michigan to deliver friendly, efficient service while maintaining attractive displays across Fresh departments.

You will build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and help shoppers locate items in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are customer-focused with strong listening and communication skills, comfortable using store technology, and able to stay organized while upholding safety and quality standards.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Collaborate across departments (Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, Grocery).
• Support other store operations as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
