Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a capable Team Member to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, including profitability, expense control, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. You will help lead Team Members, follow SOPs, and support store programs and health and safety standards.

You will help achieve sales and labor targets, maintain vendor relationships, improve product knowledge, and ensure courteous, efficient customer service.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service and leadership potential.
• Knowledge of store merchandising and product layouts.
• Ability to analyze sales and labor reports.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and awareness of new products.
• Maintains vendor relationships and handles paperwork for vendors.
• Coordinates with Team Leader to resolve team concerns.
• Serves as point person in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Ensures customer flows are optimized and responds to customer needs.
• Trains and mentors Team Members; reduces turnover.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
