Job summary

Homeland Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in El Reno, OK to oversee daily store operations, drive sales and ensure excellent customer service. You will work with department managers to meet inventory, display and budget targets while maintaining store safety and security standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior grocery/retail leadership experience. This is a full-time position with open-store hours, focusing on efficient operations and staff

Qualifications

• Able to give/receive complex verbal instructions to/from supervisors and coworkers.
• Must read/write English; read labels, codes, reports.
• Make decisions on merchandise placement, pricing, space allocation and scheduling.
• Good interpersonal communications and knowledge of applicable regulations (Wage & Hour, OSHA, ADA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage store to achieve sales and profit goals while maintaining optimal conditions.
• Ensure prompt, courteous customer service and achievement of budgets.
• Coordinate with Department Managers to meet inventory and display standards.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and staff training/scheduling.
• Maintain security policies, backroom operations, and safety programs.
