Job summary

Kj’s Market is hiring for a part-time position. You will provide friendly guest service, stock and rotate grocery items, and help keep shelves and backrooms organized. This role supports a fast-paced store environment and requires strong teamwork and physical stamina.

Join a family-owned store with flexible shifts, weekly pay, and benefits including a 401K and tuition assistance. Prior grocery experience is helpful but not required, as training is provided to learn store standards and safety

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Lift 40 lbs constantly and 60 lbs occasionally.
• Read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Good communication and guest service skills.
• Able to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery products on shelves.
• Maintain neat and safe work area for a pleasant shopping experience.
• Keep backstock organized and inventoried in the backroom.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and backroom.
• Communicate temperature problems to supervisor.
• Perform front-end duties as needed to ensure a smooth checkout.
• Order product for aisles as assigned by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
• Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control, rotation of the shelves and overstock, and proper product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
• Communicates temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• Performs front-end duties as necessary to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard is upheld and maintained.
• Order product for aisles (as assigned by management).
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
