Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a customer-service oriented store associate to maintain store condition, engage with customers, bag and transport groceries, and locate products while ensuring a safe, clean shopping environment. This role emphasizes friendly service, efficiency, and adherence to company safety policies.

The position supports the store team in a busy retail setting, with responsibilities including price verifications, product stocking, and assisting customers

Qualifications

• Typically involves on-the-job training.
• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensures groceries are bagged properly by grouping like items, controlling bag weight, preventing cross-contamination, and ensuring receipt of all items.
• Collects shopping carts and keeps the lot clean; reports incidents to management.
• Stocks front-end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations; keeps them neat and presentable.
• Promotes product sales through active customer engagement.
• Handles objects carefully to avoid damage to products or property.
• Maintains store conditions by following company guidelines for cleaning and restocking.
• Greets customers, answers questions, and bags/transports groceries to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment by following safety procedures and company policies.
