Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Store Operations team member in Sandy Springs, GA to create outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while upholding QA standards and the Customer 1st strategy.

You will help train back-up receivers and monitor inventory and procedures to ensure accuracy and freshness.

Responsibilities

• Report safety risks or issues, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Enforce safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Review current and upcoming ads to stay informed.
• Manage inventory for all delivered product.
• Process damaged/returned goods and paperwork.
• Check product condition, quantity, pricing and temperature on receipt.
• Ensure receiving tools work properly for smooth transitions to inventory logs.
• Monitor inventory/stocking conditions and ordering system integrity.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to management.
• Label and stock merchandise in the department.
• Promote trust and teamwork with a positive attitude.
• Handle high-paced or stressful environments and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product
• Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork
• Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received
• Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs
• Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity, including Computer Assisted Ordering
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
