Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to join our Michigan stores. You’ll deliver friendly customer service, share product knowledge, and keep Fresh departments stocked and visually appealing.

You’ll rotate stock, build inviting displays, and assist customers across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery while following safety standards. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping families, and stay active throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
