Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction
• Must meet the physical demands of the position
• Must be 18 or older

Desired Qualifications:

• Retail experience
• Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products and assisting customers throughout the store
• Maintain knowledge of products and make recommendations to customers
• Suggest frozen food items to meet customer needs
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping
• Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads
• Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs as required
• Comply with local, state, and federal health and civil codes
• Assist in building displays according to standards
• Observe scheduled shift hours
• Assist with unloading and stocking sections efficiently
• Keep refrigerated and display areas fully stocked and conditioned
• Follow all merchandising, customer service, cash control, safety, and loss prevention policies
• Participate in safety programs, report unsafe conditions, and notify management of incidents
• Perform equipment inspections and report repairs needed
• Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities such as theft or fraud
